1926 Vegaphone Professional 5 String Conversion

This banjo started its life as a 1926 Vegaphone Professional tenor banjo. It had been in the owners family it’s whole life and they wanted to play it as a 5 string but not ruin the integrity of the original banjo. My kind of conversion! We used the original details of the 4 string neck to create the conversion neck and none of the original banjo was altered so it could always be put back to original condition if desired. These are always incredible sounding banjos that are excellent for almost any style of playing you throw at them. It’s always a pleasure to see one that has been so lovingly cared for it’s whole life.
