#175 – 11-5/8″ Curly Maple and Ebony Fretless Banjo

This Curly Maple and Ebony banjo features an 11-5/8″ rim and fully fretless neck. The 11-5/8″ rim, a size unique to Seeders Instruments, gives you a little more low end without it getting too muddy while retaining some of the clarity of an 11″. A great balance between 11″ and 12″ rim choices. This model features Ebony appointments and simple but elegant Abalone inlays. The inlays are placed at the 5th and 12th frets (when bridge is set for 25.5″ scale) giving you some reference when playing up the neck.

143 – 12″ Walnut Dobson Special Banjo (USED)

This banjo is technically used but is absolutely like new. There are almost no signs this banjo has been played. The only thing I can find is a slight haze on the very top of the peghead from a clip on tuner that can only be seen at just the right angle when you look very closely and carefully in the right light. The satin finish of the neck has only barely begun to shine up a little which is a true sign it hasn’t been played all that much. It’s practically brand new! It was part of a collection of someone who owns quite a few of my banjos so they had many options of what to play and this one mostly sat in the case. I gave it a full refresh and setup and it’s playing, sounding, and looking it’s best. This is an amazing opportunity to get a beautiful sounding already settled in 12″ Walnut Dobson Special without the wait and with a slight discount as it has an upgraded case and beautiful goat skin head.

This Dobson Special features a rarity for these models unless custom ordered, a fully fretted fingerboard and no scoop! It’s currently setup with lower fast and comfortable action, the perfect banjo for both clawhammer and finger style playing.
